White Hart, Stone Cross, Penkridge, Staffordshire

The White Hart viewed from Stone Cross. There is a pony and trap outside. It was originally a house and dates from the early 17th century. It was restored, and the facade was substantially rebuilt, in the early 20th century. The front, which has three small gables, shows a different decorative use of framing to each story. The ground floor is close-studded, the first floor has a herringbone pattern and on the top floor the gables have small square panels with quarter-round fillings.
