Wash House, Little Brington, Northamptonshire

This wash house is one of several. They were built as part of a group of estate cottages on the Althrop Estate. The planned cottages were designed and built by E. Blore for the Spencer family in c.1848. The provision of separate washing facilities at this time shows that great thought and consideration was given to the housing.
