Warkworth Hermitage, Warkworth, Alnwick, Northumberland

The Hermitage and Chapel of the Holy Trinity is on the left bank of the Rover Coquet near Warkworth Castle. It was carved from rock to imitate built architecture in the early 14th century and was no longer in use by 1567. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
