Village School, Bitton, South Gloucestershire

This school and parish room were built in 1830. They were commissioned by a Rev H T Ellacombe and cost £360. There is an inscription that reads "Village School Room built by Voluntary Subscriptions added to a grant from the National Society MDCCCXXX". The National Society for Promoting the Education of the Poor supported the building of National Schools on behalf of the Anglican Church.
