Town Wall, Shrewsbury, Shropshire
These fragments of Town Wall were built in c1226. They are part of what was known as the Great Wall of Henry III (1220-1252). An entry in the patent Rolls of 1218 had ordered that Shrewsbury should be strengthened and enclosed.
