Town Hall, Wincanton, Somerset

The Town Hall was built in 1878 by W. J. Willcox of Bath. It replaced several earlier town halls. The first town hall was wrecked by a mob in 1767 and replaced in 1769. This second hall was destroyed by fire in 1877. When the current hall was built the road was widened by 2.5 metres. In 1893 an open market in the undercroft of the hall was enclosed.
