The water channel and reredorter, Castle Acre Priory, Norfolk

The drainage system at Castle Acre Priory. Here, the watercourse was diverted beneath the kitchens and reredorter to flush away the waste. The Cluniac Monastery was founded in 1090. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
