The Marine Workshops, Railway Quay, Newhaven, East Sussex

This building was constructed in 1882 to house several engineering workshops. The workshops have been used to repair both train and ship engines. The upper storey of the building was partly rebuilt in the mid 1940s and was reroofed in 1961. The workshop continued to repair ship engines until the early 1960s.
