The King's Arms Hotel, Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire

This inn is thought to have been built in the early 1600s. It has a confused history. Charles I is supposed to have stayed here in 1645. It was flourishing by 1666. Robert Haley (1st Earl of Oxford) who stayed here in 1708 says it was founded in 1548. It had the reputation in the 18th century of being the best inn between London and Worcester.
