The Guildhall, Gracechurch Street, Debenham, Suffolk

This former market hall was built in the 17th century on the site of a market cross. The Upper rooms were adapted in 1668 in order to turn the building into a school. the school was established under the will of Sir Robert Hitcham. Although the building has had to be restored, there are still features of the Stuart schoolhouse, like the attic windows.
