The Gatehouse, Tixall, Stafford, Staffordshire
The Elizabethan gatehouse is all that remains of Tixall Hall and is a very stylish specimen of Tudor design. The estate has been held by a number of wealthy families, including the Littleton family, the Aston family and the Clifford family. The Old Hall was demolished in 1927.
