The Excelsior Works, Redditch, Worcestershire

This factory was originally Windsor Mills Needle mill, it is now factory units. It was built in the mid 1800s. The mill is shown on a map of c1880 as the Excelsior Works. It is a large and well-detailed building that has survived with little outside alteration. Redditch became associated with needle production and it is claimed that it once produced around 90% of the worlds needles.
