The Edgcumbe Arms, Cotehele Quay, Cornwall

The Edgcumbe Arms probably dates back to the late 18th or early 19th century. It has limekilns and a warehouse attached. Limekins were needed to produce lime for farming from burning limestone with coal. They were often built near the coast so that the heavy coal and limestone could be transported by sea which was cheaper.
