The Crescent, Plymouth

These houses were built in the 1860s from a design by George Wightwick. The Crescent was part of an important planned group of terraces and villas by Foulston and his pupil Wightwick on Plymouth Hoe. This scheme placed Plymouth in the forefront of town planning in the early to mid 19th century. 6 of the houses were destroyed in the Blitz.
