The Carpenter's shop, Railway Quay, Newhaven, East Sussex

This building was constructed in 1885 as a carpenters shop for the London Brighton and South Coast Railway Company. It was subdivided to include a paint store and a timber seasoning shed. It has also been used as a marine workshop. The building still continues to accommodate several workshops and is also used as a storage facility.
