The Baxter Monument, Kidderminster, Worcestershire

This statue was built in 1875 by Sir Thomas Brock to commemorate Richard Baxter. Baxter, known as the eminent Stuart (Presbytarian) Divine was curate, and later vicar, of Kidderminster from 1641 to 1660.The inscription reads "In a stormy and divided age he advocated unity and comprehension pointing the way to the everlasting rest."
