The Ancient House, Church Lane, Walthamstow, Greater London

This former hall house has been converted into 4 dwellings. It dates from the 15th century. It has a timber frame with stucco infill on the central part and one wing. There is 18th century weatherboarding on the other wing. It was allowed to deteriorate and at one time it was used as a bicycle shop. It was restored in 1934 by Mr Robert Fuller under the supervision of Mr C J Brewin, architect, as a memorial to W G Fuller, head of the Fuller's firm of builders. It was restored again in 2001-2.
