This tenement block was built in 1881-84 facing Ramsden Dock Road. It was designed by Paley and Austin of Lancaster and built by Smith and Caird of Dundee. It is just one of the buildings in a massive development that was built to house workers of the Barrow Iron Shipbuilding Co.
