Ruther Cross, Hutton Lane, Guisborough, Redcar and Cleveland
Ruther Cross marks the one mile point on the old Guisborough to Kildale packhorse route. The remains of Ruther Cross now stand amongst houses where Ruthergate once crossed Hutton Lane. Ruthergate is an ancient trackway which continues south, up through a still visible cutting in Kemplah Woods.
