Ravenstone Hospital, Hospital Lane, Ravenstone, Leicestershire

These almshouses were built in 1711. They have the inscription "This hospital was built by John Wilkins Esq and with his consent very liberally endowed by Rebecca his wife in memory of their only son Francis Wollarton Wilkins, who died on the 5th day of February A.D. 1711. Soli Deo Gratia". The Latin phrase translates as 'for the glory of God alone'.
