Porthoustock Stone Works, St Keverne, Cornwall

This fishing area became dominated by the jetties used to load stone from the nearby quarries onto barges. Chutes allowed the stone to be deposited onto the boats from the jetty, the wooden loading channels of these can be seen in this picture. These chutes were in use until 1958.
