Paull Holme Tower, Paull, East Riding of Yorkshire

This tower formed part of a larger moated house. It was probably attached at the north end of a hall block. It may have been built for Elizabeth Wasteneys and John Holme who were married in 1438. It is one of the most important medieval brick buildings in the Humberside -Yorkshire area. The tower was restored in 1871. The basement was being used as a byre in 1967.
