Old Market Cross, Corbridge, Northumberland

This cross formerly stood on a Roman altar in the market place. Its base is thought to be roman and the shaft probably 13th century. It was removed to Newcastle in 1807. It was then returned to Corbridge in the 20th century and placed in the churchyard.
