Moulton Packhorse Bridge, Moulton, Suffolk

The river has shrunk in size since this bridge was built in the 15th century. It is built of flint and stone rubble and the edges of the arches are made of brick. Pointed arch shapes like these were built using wooden formers to support and shape them, and were not used after the 15th century. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2011).
