Moss Mill, Moss Street, Preston, Lancashire

This cotton spinning mill was built in c1796. It was one of the first mills built by John Horrocks. It was the main part of a small industrial colony started by him in this area. This also included a 3 storey block of handloom weavers' housing immediately opposite (now demolished). It is now the oldest surviving spinning mill in this town.
