Magdalen Bridge, Oxford, Oxfordshire

The Hall's Brewery drays at the front of the Oxford May Day processions in 1912. The procession has just passed over Magdalen Bridge and the 15th-century Magdalen College bell tower can be seen in the background. If you look carefully at the image it appears that the horse and dray in the foreground, on the left, has been added into the photograph. Photographic evidence gives us a lot of very useful, first hand, information but altering an image is clearly not a new idea.
