Lawn Experiment, Down House, Downe, Greater London

Recreation of Darwin's lawn experiment at Down House. Darwin recorded the number of species growing in a marked plot over a number of years, observing that the coarser plants eventually drove out the more delicate ones. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2011).
