Kendall Almshouses, Colchester, Essex

This shows two blocks of almshouses. They were constructed in 1791 and 1803 by John Kendall. Kendall built 'eight almshouses for widows whose husbands have died in Winsley's almshouses, or in default of such, for other single women'.
