Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight, Merseyside

These young women are having a meal at Hulme Hall. Hulme Hall was designed to provide dining facilities for female employees of the Port Sunlight Factory. It was designed by William and Segar Owen for William Hesketh Lever in 1901. It was later used as an art gallery when canteen facilities were provided at the factory. Later still it became a community centre.
