Gwennap Pit at Busveal, St Day, Cornwall

Tradition has it that this open air venue was created from a collapsed mining pit. It was the scene of 17 sermons given by the Methodist leader John Wesley between 1762 and 1789 and was made a memorial to him in 1806-7.
