Former Rectory, Main Street, Warton, Lancashire

These are the well preserved ruins of a late 13th/early 14th century great hall. It had service rooms and a first floor at the north end, plus a range of other buildings. The actual date is believed to be 1298 and the architecture is almost completely of this period. This property is now in the care of English Heritage (2010) and managed by the Heritage Trust for the North West. Find out more.
