Former Holme Hill School, Heneage Road, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire

This school was built in 1876-8 by Charles Bell of London, architect, and J M Thompson of Louth, builder. It was built for the Great Grimsby School Board. It has the inscription "GREAT GRIMSBY PUBLIC ELEMENTARY BOARD SCHOOL". It was the first major school built in Grimsby following the 1870 Education Act. The architect Charles Bell won a nationwide competition for its design.
