Chimney of Pease's Mill, Darlington, Durham

This octagonal chimney was built for Pease's Mill in 1872, and is dated by a panel about nine metres above the ground - just visible above the scaffolding in this picture. With its two-tone brickwork the chimney became a prominent landmark; the mill has since been demolished.
