Chale Abbey, Upper House Lane, Chale, Isle of Wight

This house was originally a manor house. It was built by John de Langford Constable of Carisbrooke Castle and Warden of the Isle of Wight in the 14th century. It was added to by Thomas de Langham in the 15th century and Richard Worsley in the 16th century. It was never an abbey.
