Bell Hotel, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

This timber framed hotel has the inscription "IK 1696", (Jacob Kingsbury), telling us when it was built. It is a fine example of a 17th century inn. Parts of it (cellars) are believed to be even older. It is recorded that it was previously a medieval hostel associated with the nearby abbey.
