The Devon and Exeter Institution Library and Reading Rooms, 7 Cathedral Close, Exeter, Devon, EX1 1EZ

Since 1813 the building has housed the Library and Reading Rooms of the Devon and Exeter Institution. Formerly the town house of the Courtenay family and one-time home of the Parliamentary General Sir William Waller. Part of the Tudor house remains at the rear and also the gatehouse range which fronts The Close. In the early 19th century the two libraries were built on the site of the old hall and kitchen.
