Originally a hunting lodge, Lyme has undergone extensive alterations since the 1400s, with notable architects transforming the house into the magnificent Grade I listed mansion seen today. The estate offers many listed buildings and structures, as well as cafés, shops and a play area within 1,400 acres of parkland.

Opening Arrangements

Estate open all year round except Christmas Day: 1 Jan - 26 Mar 8.30am-5pm; 27 Mar - 29 Oct 8.30am-8pm; 30 Oct - 31 Dec 8.30am-5pm. Opening hours for house, gardens, cafés and shops vary - check National Trust website for details.
