Bowes Railway and colliery museum operates guided site tours only to the public during the opening season. Please check the website or contact the office for current times and prices. Tours include access to our history timeline exhibition, various active workshops with demonstrations where available, including Blacksmithing, Engineering, Joinery and Engine Shed. There is a community allotment and a range of events and activities throughout the year. The small tearoom offers refreshments and light snacks. School and other tailored group visits are available via prior booking.
