Description

Wellington Crescent has a terrace of 29 houses, with no. 1 in the north-east and 29 in the south-west. The houses have three or four storeys with a continuous iron balcony on the first floor, supported by a Doric collonade. The terrace dates between 1817 and 1824.

The bandstand in the green in front of the houses was built in 1939 and consists of a circular structure with an open storey and eight Tuscan columns. Above is a domed roof with green tiles. The structure is on a concrete base with steps and a basement underneath.

The postcard is from Blinko's Bookshop , 25/27 Queen Street, Ramsgate.
