The collection contains 33 large format black and white photographs taken by Roger Fenton between 1856 and 1859. They show views of Ely Cathedral, Glastonbury Abbey, Lichfield Cathedral, Lincoln Cathedral, Lindisfarne Priory, Peterborough Cathedral, Stonyhurst College in Lancashire, Tewkesbury Abbey, Tintern Abbey, Wells Cathedral, York Minster, the British Museum, Buckingham Palace, Whitehall from Charing Cross in London, Horse Guards in London, Serpentine bridge and statue of Achilles in London's Hyde Park, Lambeth Palace, Houses of Parliament (Palace of Westminster) under construction, London Colosseum in Regent's Park, Somerset House, and Trafalgar Square.
