8 to 15 Alfred Street, Bath, Bath and North East Somerset

This terrace was built in 1768 and is typical of many terraces of fine buildings in Bath. Number 14 is known as Alfred House and has a famous doorway known as the King Alfred doorway. It is considered the finest doorway of the period in Bath. There is a carved stone statue of the King over the door.
